Whether you’re a Sarasota local or someone flying in for the weekend, on this page we’ll give you all you need to arrive stress-free, find parking easily, and slip straight into the music-and-food magic without missing a… beat. (Pun intended.)

Where it all happens

In most years past, My Hometown Fest has taken place at the stunning Nathan Benderson Park, and this year is no different. NBP is Sarasota’s premier outdoor event venue, and is known for its scenic lakefront, easy access from I-75, and ample space for festivals. Nathan Benderson Park makes attending our event as simple and enjoyable as possible.

Driving directions to My Hometown Fest 2026

Because so many of our guests search for “directions to My Hometown Fest” each year…

…here’s the fastest way to find us no matter where you’re coming from:

• From Downtown Sarasota: Take Fruitville Road east to I-75 North. Exit 213 (University Parkway) and head west. Follow the festival signs to Nathan Benderson Park.
• From Bradenton or Tampa: Head south on I-75 to Exit 213 (University Parkway). Go west and follow festival signs.
• From Venice or South Sarasota: Take I-75 North to Exit 213. Go west on University Parkway. Look for signs and volunteers directing traffic.

We’ll have temporary festival signage and friendly volunteers posted along the key intersections leading into the park so you won’t miss your turn.

Even if GPS fails, just follow the bright “MHF” arrows… we’ve made it foolproof!

Parking made easy…

Parking at big events can be a nightmare, but My Hometown Fest does our best to ease that pain.

We’ve worked with Nathan Benderson Park to ensure plenty of on-site parking within a reasonable walk to the entrance.

(Volunteers will direct you to the closest available lot when you arrive.)

Here’s what you can expect:

• General Parking: $10 charged by Nathan Benderson Park.
• Handicap-Accessible Spaces: Clearly marked and close to the festival gate.
• Porta-Potties: Nearby (rented from NBP), on top of their standard restrooms.

Parking Hack: Snap a photo of your parking area before heading in so you can find your car easily after a day of food and fun.

Public transit, rideshares & biking

Wanna skip the car altogether? It’s actually a great idea during Sarasota’s busier months. In that case, you can…

• Use Uber or Lyft. Simply type “My Hometown Fest at Nathan Benderson Park” into your app.
• Breeze Buses. Breeze (formerly “Sarasota County Area Transit”) runs routes to the University Parkway corridor. Check the Breeze website for schedules.
• Cycle In. Nathan Benderson Park has bike racks available near the entrance. Arrive eco-friendly and skip parking entirely.

Timing & traffic tips (read this!)

Sarasota is a paradise, but during peak tourist (“snowbird season“,January-to-March), our roads can get pretty congested.

Here’s how to beat the rush…

• Arrive Early: Gates open at 12 PM, but showing up by 11:15 AM gives you the smoothest entry and first pick of beer and food.
• Use Back Routes: If you know the area, approach University Parkway from Honore Ave. or Cattlemen Rd. instead of I-75 to bypass heavy traffic.
• Carpool: Fewer cars = faster parking. Rally your friends and ride together.

Festival transportation can be tricky, but we’ve tried to make it easy.

We even wanted to post real-time traffic updates on our official social channels on event day so you could adjust your route if needed, but our volunteers already have their hands full.

Festival signage & on-site guidance

Big festivals can feel like a maze.

That’s why you’ll see clearly branded My Hometown Fest signs all along the approach roads, parking lots, and park pathways.

Look for bright red and white banners with the MHF logo. As well, volunteers wearing MHF “Ask Me” badges will also be stationed near key intersections to answer questions or point you in the right direction.

Plan your perfect arrival

Getting to My Hometown Fest 2026 is part of the experience, and it often leads to fun stories for attendees.

That said, we’ve done everything possible to make it easy, safe, and fun.

Follow the directions above, keep an eye out for our signage, and you’ll slide right into Sarasota’s biggest day of music, craft beer, and bold flavors without a single hiccup.
